The AFC chose to honor Elizabeth Pierce, on behalf of the Museum Center Team, for her leadership, advocacy, and service to the community. Her role in the restoration of the historic Union Terminal represents a huge contribution to Cincinnati’s built environment.
The Union Terminal restoration started after the location received national attention in 2014, being called “one of the…most endangered historic places.” With Elizabeth at the helm, the 2-year, $228 million project brought the building back to its original grandeur. Elizabeth’s passion for our region’s history and culture is clearly evident to the thousands now able to enjoy the Union Terminal once again!
